Spring Planting
On the left you can see a new Eugenia uniflora, aka Surinam Cherry that we planted today. These produce a delicious sweet-sour cherry.
I noticed a mongoose skulking around the chickens today. They were aware of it, but seemed unconcerned. Perhaps it is just after eggs. I think my dog is aware of it too–every time she goes into the back yard she tears into the corner where I saw it come from and races around, snorting and sniffing the ground like mad.
