Eric, WOW, cool photo! Only by looking at your keywords on Flickr (Atlanta, Hyatt) can I begin to see this as possibly internal elevators. I’d love to know a little more about this photo if you’d like to share? 🙂
Earl, Brian, Thank you. As Earl figured out, this was taken in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. There are a number of these newer hotels that are designed in the huge atrium style with “external”, indoor elevators that rise from a central column. I was sitting in a group of chairs at the base of the elevator stack and looked up. I took several shots, trying to get some combination where the two elevators on this side of the stack were both closer to the bottom of the frame where the undercarriage could be seen, with all the lights.
