Outdoor Shower #2
GX-100 @ ISO 100. B&W JPEG straight out of camera. 24mm equiv.
The wisdom of the net forums seems to be to routinely dial in neg. exposure compensation to prevent this camera’s tendency to meter high and clip highlights. So far my experience bears this out. At this very early stage, the sweet spot seems to be -0.7 EV + careful spot metering.
The images have a lovely look to them. I think this is due to two things mainly: the Ricoh color processing, and the very non-aggressive noise reduction.
Sure wish there was an independent sharpness adjustment parameter.
