Today I received an email notification that Imagekind (the site where I host some of my work for sale) has been acquired by CafePress (whom I’ve also used on occasion). It’s an interesting acquisition, and one that I hope does not change Imagekind too much. They are really a pretty nice outfit for fine art printing. Details here.

As long as ImageKind keeps doing what they do and not merge themselves or allow CafePress to take over production, all should be okay. ImageKind is focused more on printing for professionals therefore they should give the attention to detail needed. If not there are a few other companies, including FinerWorks.com which does virtually the same thing as ImageKind but is a smaller company.
